David. Thanks for your comment. I'm impressed with your fearless use of YouTube videos on your site. Most health care CEOs shy away from video of themselves explaining their company's unique value proposition, but you clearly embrace the opportunity. Great work. Let's chat live sometime. We would love to feature your company on our blog. Thanks again. Brian Geyser, APRN-BC, MSN - Founder, CareNetworks, LLC.

As a strong advocate for social media, I have been looking for definitive data that reinforces the value and long term viability of using social media for Home Care Agencies. As a consultant for the health care industry I know that there are ways to utilize social media to generate new business as opposed to the more traditional methods. Thanks for giving me some concrete data to build upon. I can definitely work with this! Stella

Yes, as long as you're not dispensing medical advice, revealing the friend's medical condition, or discussing protected health information. If the friend asks you a medical question on Facebook, for example, you can respond with a generic statement like, "It is against my policy, and a HIPAA violation, to discuss any personal health-related matters on public facing social networks. Please contact me privately during my office hours to discuss personal health matters. Thank you."
