In April 2010, the Assisted Living Federation of American recognized Terrace Communities Online (TCO) as a “Best of the Best” innovation. Terrace Communities was our first customer ever and we’re proud of the work we have done for them. We built TCO back in September 2008 and still manage it today. Terrace Communities

The Company:

Terrace Communities is a family of seven exceptional assisted living residences in Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, and Florida. Back in September of 2008, Terrace Communities retained CareNetworks to build a branded online community for all seven of their assisted living communities. The idea was to use social networking and social collaboration technology to connect the Terrace Communities ecosystem together under a branded virtual umbrella – allowing residents, family members, staff, referral sources, partners, and other stakeholders to connect, communicate, collaborate and share.

Business Goals:

  1. Centralize communications between all assisted living communities in the group
  2. Attract and engage prospects and nurture relationships with customers
  3. Provide information and resources to residents and familiy members quickly and easily
  4. Give staff a place to post stories, pictures, events, and other content relevant to stakeholders

Results:

As of March 2010, over 19,000 unique visitors – including staff, family members, residents, prospects, and business partners have made over 50,000 visits to TCO and the site has been featured in Assisted Living Executive magazine as well as on Mashable.com.


Terrace Communities

Hospice Company Blog

The Company:

Elder Pages Online offers simple internet solutions for eldercare and hospice providers.

Business Goal:

To create a branded social media hub using the WordPress blogging platform on the main company website and have blog content automatically syndicated across multiple social outposts like Facebook and Twitter.

Results:

Within three months of launch, the client doubled web traffic to her website and tripled qualified leads. Nice.
